There are so many crappy biographies … would you rather read a poorly-written biography of a fascinating life, OR an exquisitely well-written, wonderful read of one of a not-so-interesting life?
Interesting question. I don't read a lot of biographies as I definitely prefer to lose myself in fiction books. I think I would have to go with the well written book of a not-so-interesting life. Because if you put the right spin on something then anything can be interesting. I think every life is interesting in some way or another but it's how that story is told is the important part.
